2020 was a year of confirmation and accomplishment for SuperGrid Institute. We are thrilled to share our latest annual report with you, which looks back at the challenges and achievements of this last year.

In 2020, we saw our visibility increase and our partnerships at the French and European level flourish. Several European projects that we were involved in were successfully concluded (PROMOTioN, FastGrid, Grid2030) while other, new collaborative projects were launched. Our implication in these projects gave us a fantastic opportunity to work with other experts around Europe and make significant steps towards removing the technical barriers to DC networks.

In terms of business development, 2020 was a pivotal year for us, with a significant increase in new clients & the number of orders taken, along with work on becoming even more closely aligned with market & client needs. In addition, we became ISO 9001:2015 certified, which speaks to our high quality management skills and our ability to provide the services required by our shareholders and clients.

It was also a rewarding year in terms of infrastructure, with 2 major new platforms installed (highlighted by two photo essays in the report) and several others commissioned, providing us with advanced new testing capabilities.

Of course, 2020 was fundamentally marked by the COVID-19 crisis. Despite the years’ challenges, we were able to navigate the crisis effectively; a tribute to the people who make up the SuperGrid Institute team and to our partners and clients, who’s loyalty and confidence in us . Through this report, we recognise and thank all those who placed their trust in us and who contributed to making 2020 a successful year at the Institute.
