MVDC networks require a high efficiency DC-DC converter to connect the low voltage sources to the medium voltage network. Our PV DC Solid-State Transformer (DC SST), developed today as part of the OPHELIA project, offers developers 99% efficiency for maximum energy delivery. It operates silently at medium frequencies (>10 kHz) and provides galvanic isolation between the PV field and the MVDC collector network.
