SimHydro 2017: Choosing the right model in applied hydraulics
This paper focuses on the set up and the validation of a numerical model for the analysis of the flow in reversible Francis pump-turbines in the S-Shape region. For such operating conditions the flow inside the pump-turbine is characterized by highly unsteady flow separations and complex rotor/stator interactions.
Power Electronics and Applications (EPE’16 ECCE Europe)
The paper presents a tool for technical and economic assessment of offshore wind power connecting architectures; they highly influence cost effectiveness of offshore wind generation, particularly when power electronic converter based transmission technologies and long distance transmission cables are employed.
Surface charge measurement on epoxy spacer in HVDC GIS/GIL in SF6
The design of reliable high voltage equipment remains a challenge nowadays. The surface charge accumulation at gas/solid interface is a major problem of HVDC GIS/GIL. The electric field can be distorted and the dielectric strength of the system can be thus reduced dramatically due to surface charges.
Development of a Space Charge Measurement Method Applied to HVDC GIS Spacers
The development of HVDC networks leads to an increasing need of Gas Insulating Substations (HVDC-GIS). When an insulator is subjected to high thermoelectric dc DC stress, space charge accumulation can induce local increases of the electric field, which must be known and taken into account for the equipment design when the fields exceed several kV/mm.
Creeping Discharge and Flashover of Solid Dielectric in Air at Atmospheric Pressure
This paper is aimed at the study of the propagation of discharge at the surface of solid insulator and the development of an analytical model of flashover in air.
CEIDP 2016 Toronto – Fluoronitriles / CO2
This paper is aimed at the comparison of breakdown voltages of SF6 and mixtures at different concentrations of Fluoronitriles in CO2. The experiments are conducted in different electrodes geometries under DC and lightning impulse voltages.
Fluoronitriles/ CO2 gas mixture as promising substitute to SF6 for insulation in high voltage applications
This paper is aimed at the breakdown characteristics of Fluoronitriles – CO2 gas mixtures in different experimental conditions; these mixtures constitute promising substitutes to SF6 gas in high voltage applications especially gas insulating switchgear (GIS).
Dielectric behaviour of a new grade of cross-linked polyethylene for HVDC cables
In order to ensure the energy transmission from remote production stations to load centres, it is well known that High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) presents some advantages compared to High Voltage Alternative Current (HVAC).

Dynamic of partial discharges in cavities in a MV AC cable under DC conditions
In order to ensure the energy transmission from remote production stations to load centres, it is well known that High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) presents some advantages compared to High Voltage Alternative Current (HVAC).
