We are pleased to share that we have joined the Current/OS ecosystem. Current/OS is an independent, non-profit foundation bringing together players from the electrical industry and major industrial manufacturers for promoting and standardising the use of Direct Current (DC) in modern buildings and installations. The organisation has recently set up a working group on MVDC and, of course, we have decided to join it to share our field experience!

According to Yannick Neyret, President of Current/OS, “The history of energy is at a turning point, where DC technology can now play a major role in creating a more resilient framework for sustainable energy. Current/OS is determined to drive this vision forward and play a leading role in an era of unprecedented progress for the energy sector, by contributing to the energy transition and through our commitment to innovation.” 

Becoming a partner will enable us to collaborate with a broad network of industry experts and actively contribute to collective initiatives focused on DC.

After working on low voltage, the group naturally turned its attention to medium voltage. In relation to MVDC, the OPHELIA project use case is particularly relevant, developing building blocks for long linear PV plants. It is within this framework that we have begun participating in Current/OS and we have already taken part in several working sessions.

We look forward to the opportunities this collaboration will create and to contributing meaningfully and actively to the group’s work!
