Abstract

The development of photovoltaic (PV) power plants using medium voltage direct current (MVDC) collection network requires a new equipment – a DC solid-state transformer (SST). This paper proposes a selection of qualification tests derived from existing standards to meet the requirements of MVDC SST in PV applications. The goal is to ensure quality and safety of DC SST while addressing the unique requirements of MVDC collection network.
