The thinking caps are on this week at SuperGrid Institute with the “Fête de la Science” event! Over the last few days the institute has welcomed four classes of high school students who learnt about the work that we do through fun, interactive activities. This Saturday afternoon, we are opening our doors to the public to round of the week in style! Come along and see us!

The “Fête de le Science” is a fantastic opportunity to visit, learn and exchange. It is an important event for SuperGrid Institute, an Institute for Energy Transition, who organises various events and visits throughout the year with the aim of promoting electrical engineering among young people and arousing their interest in pursuing a career in this sector. From the 7th to the 11th of October, we opened our doors to high school students who came to learn about the professions and expertise present at SuperGrid Institute through different interactive activities.

Firstly the students observed various experiments to learn about the basics of Electrical Engineering. They then took part in a game about the professions that can be found at SuperGrid Institute, to better understand the range of jobs and skills that are needed to develop our technologies. Finally, they participated in an immersive Survival Game, working to save the planet from global warming by developing renewable energies and new technologies for the electric grid.

All these activities will be on offer for the public this Saturday the 12th of October from 2pm to 6pm. For one afternoon only, you can become a superhero and help us save the planet! You will also have the opportunity to visit one of our biggest test platforms (Visits at 3pm and 4:30pm).

This is the third time SuperGrid Institute has taken part in “Fête de la Science”. The event is highly appreciated by our team as it gives us the opportunity to share our knowledge and experiences with the electrical engineers of tomorrow! Last year, SuperGrid Institute was the only private company in the Rhône department to participate.
