Ampère is a research laboratory from CNRS and Université de Lyon. We can find the Ampère laboratory in three sites: the Ecole Centrale de Lyon at Ecully, the INSA Lyon and the Université Lyon 1 in Villeurbanne. The main objective of its Electrical Energy Department is to create and optimize the devices for the transmission, distribution and conversion of electric power taking into account their environment.
L2S knowhow is broad in exact sciences and engineering: automatic control, signal processing (image, voice, vision), CAD, modelling, optimisation, wavelets, physical systems, applied math, electrotechnics, mechatronics, energy … Its activities cover all these areas and more through edge-cutting research and development, project management, teaching and training. L2S is organized in four groups of comparable size: the Control group, the Sigals group, the Networks group.
